Making a personalized bookmark
Literacy involves reading and following directions:Cut a piece of oak tag (heavier paper) about 2 and 1/2 inches wide by 9 to 12 inches long. One one side write a poem or inscription for the one you are going to give the bookmark.
Then place some leaves, flowers, colored cellophane, tissue, or even crayon shavings on top of the cardboard. Tack leaves, flowers etc. in place with a dab of glue (glue stick works well).
Then place the collage between two pieces of contact paper, laminate, or iron wax paper. Wide clear heavy cellophane tape works well too. Cover the back and the front and press.
Punch a hole and add a ribbon, some yarn, or a tassel.
