Spotlight on Literacy #19 - Using dried flowers to make cards

Literacy involves reading and following directions and we are going to continue seeing how we do with that.

Last week I asked you to find some flowers and to dry them.  The instructions were at:
McElmeel, Sharron (2020, April 17). Spotlight on Literacy #8 - Find Flowers to Press.  Reading Trove.  Retrieved from http://bit.ly/readingtrove-8

Well I hope you found some great ones because I have been hunting for some great directions for making cards with our flowers and I found a great page:
Momoluv in Craft. (n.d.) DIY Pressed Flower Card.  Retrieved from https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Pressed-Flower-Card/.

Gather together all the supplies you need - listed in step 1.  You should already have your dried flowers.  You won't need the parchment paper or the heavy books as you already have your flowers pressed.  And you have already done step 2 so move right along to Step 3: Preparing the Card Base.

From there follow the directions and create a special dried flower card for someone special this coming mother's day (Sunday).  You can draw whatever type of vase you want -- or none at all.  You might want to put your flowers in a basket that you draw on the card.  Be creative - and when you are finished write a note inside to the person you will be giving the card to.  Be sure to sign it.  Wrap it or make an envelope out of another piece of paper.

You might also want to make a bookmark if you have any left over flowers.  The directions for making a bookmark are at:
